FIELD ENGINEER / TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Job Duties:  Candidate will install software, troubleshoot, and provide key man training at cable systems worldwide.  Will provide expert-level tech support to cable operators on GLDS products for provisioning of Voice, Video, and Data.  Position requires travel as-needed to perform customer installations, troubleshoot, configure and train on addressable control and conditional access systems. Candidate must have strong project management skills and experience providing customer support.

Technical Requirements:  Significant, hands on experience installing, configuring, training and supporting analog, digital, addressable and conditional access systems, VOD & DOCSIS cable modem platforms is required!  Examples include: 

• Motorola NAS-RAC, HITS, CableCARDS
• Motorola DAC6000
• Scientific Atlanta Analog and Digital Controllers
• Nagra Digital Conditional Access
• Conax Conditional Access
• Blonder Tongue (Interdiction)
• Jerrold ACC4000 and earlier analog systems
• Pioneer Analog and Digital video authorization
• VOD (N2Broadband, nCUBE, SeaChange and others)
• DOCSIS Compliant Modems, CMTS systems
• Voice Over IP Installation, Configuration and Support
• Network connectivity and support of Windows and Linux platforms

Education:  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and technical training.
